FAQ

What is freezing metadata?

When you freeze your metadata, you are permanently locking and storing it on decentralized file storage. When you choose to freeze your metadata, the following information will be locked:

  • item name
  • media (JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, MP4, WEBM, MP3, WAV, OGG, GLB, GLTF)
  • description
  • properties, levels, and stats

To freeze your metadata on Jungle, simply go into My Collections to choose the item you wish to freeze.

  • Click on ‘Edit’ and find the ‘Freeze Metadata’ section
  • Enable this feature by clicking on the toggle
  • Once on, click ‘Freeze’.

You will receive a notification that begins the process, after which you may click to confirm all your content is exactly how you intended it to be. Once frozen, you will be unable to edit or remove this content. Click ‘Submit Transaction’ to complete the process.
